No more weekend fun for some men in Guyana

Those who enjoy a little scandalous cross-dressing during their down time should avoid Guyana on their next Caribbean vacation. Under local law, cross-dressing is a crime punishable by fine. In 2009, local police began arresting men for the offense and issuing $36 fines, according to the BBC.

Outraged human rights organizations said the ban was a violation of privacy and free expression and a relic of a colonial past that should be abandoned.
