We Have Earthquakes Too

A poem.

We Have Earthquakes Too One thinks a barn door
slammed in a yard
or someone's dumpster
dropped a little hard.

It is typical in this valley
of slow rain and mild sun
that the earth moves gently
hardly waking anyone.
