“These last couple of days, especially, everybody's really felt like, maybe we're headed in the right direction. So, in the beginning, it was a feeling of defeat, but now I think we're stronger than we have been in a couple of decades," says Nathan Upham, creative director at New World Order, a creative space in Kenosha, as he stands next to a mural on a boarded-up storefront. Mr. Upham hosted a supply drop-off providing food and clothes for the community. He has also raised thousands in a GoFundMe campaign to rebuild and revitalize the Uptown area that was damaged during the unrest following the shooting of Jacob Blake. "I'm gonna see how much money we can pull together and I'm gonna see if we can try to create more consistent and sustainable situations in Uptown. You know, I have an overwhelming amount of people hitting me up to volunteer and donate," he says.
