'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1' trailer gives a glimpse into the new installment

The character of Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), who was taken prisoner by the evil Capitol, is the main focus in the new trailer for the 'Hunger Games' film. 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1' stars Jennifer Lawrence, Hutcherson, and Woody Harrelson.

A trailer has been released for the upcoming “Hunger Games” film “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1.”

The movie will be one of two that is an adaptation of the final book in author Suzanne Collins’ trilogy.

The new trailer mainly focuses on the determination of protagonist Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) to free her friend and sometimes love interest Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) from the clutches of the government. Peeta was captured at the end of the last film.

“I want everyone who’s watching to lay down their weapons now,” Peeta says via a video communication.

Meanwhile, Katniss tells Plutarch Heavensbee, who was formerly in charge of the Hunger Games (Philip Seymour Hoffman in one of his last roles) and Alma Coin, president of the previously hidden District 13 (Julianne Moore), “You will rescue Peeta at the earliest opportunity, or you will find another Mockingjay.”

“Mockingjay – Part 1” will be released on Nov. 21.
