Theater fans – and John Steinbeck fans – can stick closer to home if they want to see the currently running Broadway production of “Of Mice and Men.”
National Theatre Live, which has taped and released to movie theaters and other platforms such London productions as “Frankenstein” starring Benedict Cumberbatch and “Phedre” starring Helen Mirren say they will be filming “Of Mice and Men” for broadcast all over the world. The show stars James Franco, Chris O’Dowd, and Leighton Meester and will be the first Broadway production to be filmed by National Theatre Live.
“Of Mice and Men” is playing at New York's Longacre Theatre and closes on July 27. The dates on which “Of Mice and Men” will be broadcast have not yet been announced.
