Tule Lake camp held 18,000 Japanese Americans and was the most troubled internment camp during World War II. Tule Lake, the novel by Edward T. Miyakawa, is an enthralling story of a Harvard-trained lawyer, born in the US, raised in Japan, and desirous of realizing the ideals of American democracy.
