The World According to Bertie

I just finished The World According to Bertie, fourth volume in the series of “44 Scotland Street” novels by Alexander McCall Smith. Some of his characters appear charming and sensible; others are foolish, and Bruce is a real cad. Now I must wait until at least the next book in the series to find out if Matthew marries Elspeth and if Stuart takes a stand against his wife’s strange upbringing of their son, Bertie.
