Under the Banner of Heaven

Under the Banner of Heaven by Jon Krakauer. It was published in 2004, long before the fairly recent news story of 400 children placed in jeopardy because of court actions in Arizona and Utah. I found Krakauer’s book informative and educational; I now have a better understanding of Mormon fundamentalism. I also have a much better respect for my devoted, practicing Mormon relatives, friends, and neighbors who do not subscribe to the practices of the Mormon fundamentalists.
