Reader recommendation: Half of a Yellow Sun

Monitor readers share their favorite book picks.

Half of a Yellow Sun, a novel by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, is set during the breakaway attempt to establish a country, Biafra, apart from Nigeria, in
the late 1960s.  The author sets the scene and describes events from the points of view of a spectrum of participants.  I really enjoyed this book.
