Pulitzer Prize winner David Garrow’s extensive research has produced a meticulously researched and admirably balanced biography of Barack Obama, from his birth (definitely in Hawaii) up to his 2008 election to the US presidency. Both Obama detractors and admirers will find much of interest and may in fact find much to agree upon in this very lengthy (1,472 pages) book.
