5 ways in which the "Harry Potter" magic lives on

There may not be any new books or movies to come, but the spirit of "Harry Potter" lives on – now a part of our culture in so many ways. Aside from re-watching and re-reading J.K. Rowling's work, avid fans have found various ways to incorporate the novels into their daily lives. Here are examples of five ways in which "Harry Potter" has infiltrated modern Muggle life. 1. "Harry Potter" pet names

Give your pet a "Harry Potter" name and then dress him or her up in a wizard's costume.

That's right, people have started naming their pets after J.K. Rowling's characters. There are the more conventional names, like Harry, Ron, and Hermione, but there are also more eccentric options. Rather than Fido or Spot, your next door neighbor's new dog is now more likely to be named Honeydukes, Nymphadora, Bellatrix, Padfoot, or Nearly Headless Nick.
