Grace Elletson is an editorial intern entering her senior year at Ithaca College, where she majors in Politics with a concentration in International Studies and has a minor in Journalism. From her very first day of college, she’s been on staff at The Ithacan, her school newspaper, and has worked her way up from a faculty beat writer to editor-in-chief for this coming school year. Grace’s enthusiasm for journalism is evident in just one interaction with her, and she can’t wait to help get other students excited about the subject in her role as The Ithacan EIC.

Grace has previous experience working at her local newspaper, The Cape Cod Times, before joining the Monitor’s team. Her main interests lie in conflict and investigative journalism, particularly in the realm of foreign affairs, and she hopes to work as a political correspondent overseas in the future. Grace has been learning Arabic for the past two years and is preparing to study abroad in Jordan this winter. The Massachusetts native hails from a town on Cape Cod named Barnstable, it’s no surprise that she has experience riding horses in rodeos on an equestrian drill team!
