It's all business: ranking the best postgraduate programs

The University of Navarra IESE Business School in Spain can claim the world's best full-time master's-degree-level program in its field, according to the internationally respected Economist magazine. But before anyone suspects a European bias from the London-based publisher, it should be noted that eight of the top 10 programs are at American universities, with Switzerland joining Spain as the only non-US country among the elite. The Economist's Intelligence Unit, the company's business information arm, used 18 criteria, among them student and faculty quality, potential for networking, postgraduate salary, and student diversity, to compile the ranking. The business schools with the best MBA programs:

1. IESE Business School, University of Navarra (Spain)

2. Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College

3. Stanford Graduate School of Business

4. Graduate School of Business, University of Chicago

5. International Institute for Management Development (Switzerland)

6. Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University

7. Harvard Business School

8. Stern School of Business, New York University

9. Stephen M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan

10. Haas School of Business, University of California-Berkeley
