WE DON'T NEED YOU ANYMORE

How can a company announce that it's eliminating 548 jobs and not have a lot of unhappy people on its hands? Answer: Those losing their positions have never depended on a paycheck because they aren't human. Reports say Friskies, the pet food subsidiary of Swiss giant Nestle SA, is closing its evaluation center in Britain. That means putting 331 cats and 217 dogs out of work. Alas, the project will be conducted at a similar facility in France from now on.
