Internet sitings

What: Tired of spending long hours on the Web trying to find a reliable mechanic, a cheap ticket to Europe, or an esoteric collectible? Check out A new Web site that changes the way buyers, sellers, and traders connect.

The best parts: This site differs from its cousins in that it's buyer-driven, you may request both goods and services, and you can remain anonymous to sellers. Unlike most auction sites, it doesn't require constant monitoring.

If you are a buyer, simply register on the home page by providing a "name," password, e-mail address, and specification of what you're looking for.

Sellers who respond to "wants" must provide the site with a billing address and credit-card information - which is confidential, but used by the site to verify credibility.

Once a want has been posted, sellers simply review and respond on the site to the most qualified buyer.

What you should know: This site has a few disclaimers: While the service is free now, they may tag on a fee at any time; and they can't guarantee the validity of a buyer or seller.

How to get there: Use the above address, or sit back and let the Work & Money site take you there (
