Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

In Laurent Belsie's article on mapping the human genome Aug. 19 (page 15), the final quote was wrongly attributed. It was Stephen Joseph, president of the National Center for Genome Resources, in Santa Fe, N.M., who said, "We're just lifting up the tent flap.... I'm not sure any of us comprehend what a watershed of change in the human condition we're in."
