Pinch your flowers for more blooms

By August, many petunias and other annual flowers have gotten scraggly and are blooming sparsely. Revive tired plants by pinching stems back two inches. Apply a water-soluble fertilizer at the same time and you'll have an abundance of new blossoms before long.
