CNN Presents (CNN, 9-11 p.m.): As the United Nations celebrates its 50th anniversary, this newsmagazine looks ahead to "The Next 50 Years: The UN at War and Peace." The show examines the UN's effectiveness by gleaning lessons from UN involvement in two countries: Mozambique, now on the road to peace, and Bosnia, where there have been more UN casualties than on any other peacekeeping mission.
My Indian Summer (CBS, 4-5 p.m.): Tawnee Mueller (Tailinh Prado), a popular teenager who happily lives in Los Angeles, is less than thrilled when her mother informs her they'll be spending their summer on the Ojibwa Indian Reservation. But once there, Tawnee learns how unique her native American heritage is. A "CBS Schoolbreak Special."
People (Disney, 7-8 p.m.): This animated musical celebration of cultural diversity - in honor of the 50th anniversary of the United Nations - showcases 10 original songs, which are performed by artists such as Peabo Bryson, Heavy D, Dave Koz, Ivan Lins, Lebo M., Brenda Russell, Lea Salonga, and Vanessa Williams. The melodies tie together a colorful film that follows an 11-year-old and her grandfather on a kaleidoscopic journey around the world.
