POLISH MINERS END STRIKE

Miners at Poland's Jastrzebie coal concern ended a week-long stoppage yesterday after management agreed to increase their wages, Jastrzebie's deputy president told PAP news agency. Stanislaw Jablonski said the concern, grouping seven mines, agreed to raise wages by 7.2 percent in January and by another 10 percent in February.
