Sioux Falls, S.D., is the best place to live in America, according to Money Magazine's sixth-annual ranking of the 300 largest metropolitan areas in the United States. Waterbury, Conn., ranked No. 300 for the second year in a row.
This year's top 10 metro areas (and their ranking last year): Sioux Falls (12); Columbia, Mo. (20); Austin, Texas (9); Minneapolis/St. Paul (63); Fargo, N.D. (11); San Francis-co (38); Honolulu (27); Provo/Orem, Utah (1); Gaines-ville, Fla. (41); Madison, Wis. (8).
The bottom five were: Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (286); Lima, Ohio (264); Muskegan, Mich. (289); Rockford, Ill. (267): and Waterbury (300).
