One of China's most famous dissident journalists, released earlier this year after 20 months in prison, has been re-arrested, his brother said yesterday.Zhang Weiguo was taken from a relative's home in eastern China's Zhejiang province at 2 a.m. on July 30. Officials have not specified charges or told his family where he is, Zhang Weijun said by telephone from Shanghai. Mr. Zhang was the Beijing bureau chief of Shanghai's liberal World Economic Herald before the government closed the newspaper - one of the boldest in the country - in May 1989 at the height of the student-led pro-democracy movement.
