MOBILE HOME PARK RESIDENTS FACE HARDSHIP
| WASHINGTON
Mobile home park residents are often victimized by drastic rent increases, unfair evictions, and inadequate maintenance, according to a report by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP). Older residents are particularly vulnerable, the AARP says, because of a combination of limited financial resources and rising maintenance costs for an older home. Nearly 2 million persons age 65 and older live in mobile homes.
