Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

Regarding the opinion page column ``East German Elections: `D-Mark Uber Alles,''' March 23: The first sentence in the third paragraph should read, ``The results: an astonishing 48.1 percent for the Conservative Alliance, a disappointing 21.8 percent for the Social Democrats (SPD), and a surprising 16.3 percent for the PDS, the former Communist Party.'' The mistakes were the editors', not the author's.
