Leaving the Blinds Open

My window's dark eye fastens itself on every secret in the house. I leave the blinds open just in case the light of a star at last arrives and needs a friend. And on this coldest night of the year I unbolt the door. Oh traveler, if you are lost in the wind find that light, try my door. The welcome mat says, come in, come in.
