PERPICH SEEKS FOURTH TERM

Gov. Rudy Perpich, who said repeatedly during his last campaign that 1986 would be his last reelection bid, has decided to seek an unprecedented fourth term in 1990. The Democratic governor of Minnesota made the announcement Sunday in this park at the headwaters of the Mississippi River.
``Like the Mississippi, the course of my administration is set,'' he said. ``Like the Mississippi, my administration is self-renewing, ever fresh and ever vigorous, and always at the service of the people of Minnesota.''
