When the Monitor went to color, we at the Home Forum leaped at the invitation. Sherry Markovitz's ``Crazy Quilt'' was an ideal candidate. Unfortunately, as these things happen, the color transparency was misplaced in production. The result was a black and white reproduction (Jan. 11) that lacked the vivid impact of Markovitz's work. The real ``Crazy Quilt'' - in mixed media, 38 by 21 by 21 in. - looks like this.
