Tax reform isn't even halfway through Congress, so who knows what the tax laws will be like next year? Even if the picture is murky, people still have to make savings, investment, and estate planning decisions. And, of course, they will have to file their 1040s for 1985. In the Monitor's next Personal Finance section, we'll try to find ways people can make at least a few sensible tax planning decisions and offer tips on preparing your '85 return.
