New Japanese Cabinet forms after premier wins new lease

Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone named a new government Wednesday after legislators in his governing Liberal Democratic Party unanimously endorsed him for a second term as party leader and prime minister. Mr. Nakasone scrapped two-thirds of his Cabinet, retaining top economic and foreign-affairs ministers, and brought in Japan's first woman minister in 22 years.
