Ceausescu arrives in Bonn for a three-day visit

Romanian President Nicolae Ceausescu, in apparent defiance of Moscow, arrives in Bonn today for a three-day visit that West Germany hopes will help revive East-West dialogue.

Mr. Ceausescu's trip comes less than a month after East German President Erich Honecker canceled his long-awaited first official visit to West Germany. President Todor Zhivkov of Bulgaria later called off his visit to Bonn, planned for earlier this month. Western diplomats interpret these cancellations as the result of pressure from the Kremlin.
