Ulster security forces seize big arms cache

Security forces in Northern Ireland have uncovered one of the biggest arms caches in recent history - two tons of explosives and some 1,600 rounds of ammunition - police said Thursday.

In a related development, they also said a ''number'' of people from Carrickmore and the surrounding area in County Tyrone had been in custody for several days for questioning on ''serious terrorist crimes.'' Irish nationalist terrorists are waging a guerrilla war to force the union of the British province of Ulster with the Irish Republic.
