Currency switchover has Nigerians in confusion
Nigeria's bank-note change caused deepening confusion Monday as taxi drivers and small-business men started refusing to accept old notes nearly a week before they cease to be legal tender.
With many people still unable to get new notes in exchange for old ones, commuters to central Lagos complained that they had great difficulty getting to work because taxi and bus drivers would accept only the new notes.
The bank-note changeover will end next Sunday.
