Two GIs shot by gunmen on island off Grenada

Two American soldiers were shot and wounded Thursday by unidentified gunmen on a tiny island off the coast of Grenada, a day after the White House said it expected US combat troops to be withdrawn by Christmas.

US officials said the two men from the 82nd Airborne Division were hit while on duty at an observation post on Green Island.
