The Agriculture Department stopped buying meat from two companies under investigation for alleged unsanitary slaughtering plants. The agency is conducting a probe into complaints against Cattle King Beef Company of Denver and Nebraska Beef Processors of Gering, Nebraska. Meat from the two companies had been used in the federal school lunch program.
