Two five-month-old California condors, the first hatched in captivity, made brief maiden flights Monday. ''It was a nice landing,'' said Tom Hanscom of the San Diego Wild Animal Park after Tecuya's 45-foot flight from a roosting box to the ground. The other bird, Sisquoc, covered only about 10 feet from a pile of rocks to a sawhorse perch.
