Sweden detains tanker from Soviet Union

The Swedish Navy detained a Soviet tanker and intensified the search for two trespassing minisubmarines believed trapped in nearby waters. The Soviet tanker Auseklis arrived in Sundsvall some 200 miles north of Stockholm Saturday with a cargo of methanol and was due to leave under naval escort - but was detained for reasons not immediately disclosed. equipped helicopters and two patrol boats were continuing the search after several witnesses reported seeing a periscope.
