Fifty years after he first conquered the Empire State Building, King Kong is expected to repeat the feat this weekend. At least, a balloon replica of the monster should be inflated and standing 10 stories tall - marking the 50th anniversary of the original King Kong film. Earlier attempts to hoist him onto the skyscraper failed after Kong developed a tear in his shoulder, got a leg tangled, and lost his head - literally.
