Punxsutawney Phil forecasts short winter

Spring is just around the corner, if you believe Punxsutawney Phil. The nation's premier groundhog emerged from his winter hideaway Feb. 2 to the cheers of some 200 people, and did not see his shadow. This is considered a sign that there are less than six weeks left in winter.

It was only about the fifth time in 30 years that the furry prognosticator predicted an early end to winter - and members of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club say he's never wrong.
