Thatcher to take reins of intelligence panel

British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher said she will assume control of the Joint Intelligence Committee, the intelligence body blamed for failing to predict the Falkland Islands invasion. This is the most significant shake-up of intelligence organization in Britain since World War II.
