Nature Expeditions International is celebrating its tenth anniversary by offering a series of wildlife cruises to the west coast of Baja California to observe gray whales in their breeding grounds.

Expedition participants will travel to Baja California from San Diego aboard the motor yacht Qualifier 105, visiting San Benito, Cedros, San Martin Islands, and San Ignacio Lagoon. Exploring on foot and from small skiffs during the day, participants will have opportunities to observe elephant seals, California sea lions, harbor seals, and a variety of birds, plant life, and invertebrates, in addition to studying the gray whales at close hand in the lagoon.

Fees for these 8- and 9-day natural history excursions are $990 and $1,090 per person, respectively, excluding air fare, with departure dates of Feb. 4 and 19 and March 4 and 19.

For more information about the gray whale expeditions, contact Nature Expeditions International, 599 College Avenue, Department 120, Palo Alto, Calif. 94306; telephone (415) 494-6572.
