The government's sensitive index of leading economic indicators climbed 0.8 percent last month, pointing to a recovery for the seventh time in the previous eight months, the Commerce Department said Thursday.
The increase was more widely rooted than in most previous months of improvement, with seven of 10 indicators showing positive signs.
