Polish actors end boycott of state radio and TV
Warsaw — Poland's top actors and actresses called off a boycott of state radio and television that they have maintained as a protest against the imposition of martial law.
''We offer to the Polish public (a resumption of) our work in television and radio drama from December 24,'' the leaflet from the actors said. It added that they would maintain their right to choose what work they would and would not do. The authorities abolished the actors' union on December 1 partly in retaliation for the boycott.
