Reagan parley considers long-term economic policy

President Reagan called senior advisers to the White House Tuesday to discuss long-term economic policy as voters went to the polls in an election spotlighting his controversial economic plan.

The White House said the meeting was the first in a series to determine policies in the second half of his four-year presidential term. The first meeting was an overview, with specific economic, budget, and financial policies to be determined later.
