Who says you can't fight GOP dollar power?

Midwest Democrats are stretching campaign dollars by chipping in with Democratic organizations in neighboring states. The idea: Sponsor ''generic'' ads with a ''vote Democratic'' theme in TV markets that cover more than one state. Prime time ads to cover Kentucky and southern Indiana are being sponsored in Louisville, Ky., and Evansville, Ind. Other states pooling with Indiana to cover overlapping media markets include Michigan, Ohio, and Illinois. Polls taken for Indiana Democratic candidates indicate greater strength when the party label is emphasized.
