Poll shows public is wary of Republican economics

The poll of 1,069 people was conducted by telephone Oct. 4-11 by the Washington Post and ABC News. A total of 61 percent of those polled said they are ''less better off'' than when Reagan became president. While 57 percent said they feared Republicans, 32 percent said the same of the Democrats. Some 11 percent expressed no opinion.
