Detroit teachers end their strike

Teachers approved a tentative agreement Tuesday with the financially ailing Detroit school system, halting a strike that has kept 200,000 students away from school for three weeks.

Walkouts in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Illinois still disrupted classes for almost 90,000 other students, pending a court injunction to force the teachers back to work.
