The American Bar Association may have unwittingly launched a potential presidential bid by former Secretary of State Alexander M. Haig Jr. He reportedly netted more than $20,000 for his appearance before barristers in San Francisco. Observers say his remarks seemed partly aimed at reestablishing his credibility with America's allies and his tough stance with the Soviets.
