Guatemala talks to focus on renewed US arms aid

National Security Council member Jeremiah O'Leary was scheduled to meet with Gen. Efrain Rios Montt and other top officials here for talks expected to focus on renewed US arms aid to Guatemala's new government.

The Reagan administration reportedly has long considered the threat of guerrilla warfare especially great in Guatemala, because it borders oil-rich Mexico.
