UPS deliveries go on as strike is averted

United Parcel Service continued air and truck deliveries of its 6 million-package daily load after reaching agreement Tuesday night on a contract with the Teamsters union and averting a threatened strike by 80,000 workers Wednesday night. UPS is withholding details of the agreement until the rank and file votes on ratification.
