Profits sag at Exxon and Eastern Airline and Eastern gets OK for Braniff Latin routes

The Civil Aeronautics Board said Braniff International Airlines could lease most of its South American service to Eastern Airlines for at least one year. The board approved the Braniff-Eastern agreement instead of one proposed earlier by Braniff and Pan American World Airways. Eastern will take over all Braniff's South American routes except those to Brazil and Venezuela by June 1.
