Misty spring morning, Turner-like day, Whirly-gig wind Turns things upside down. I'm lost in a maze Of purple haze, Of field-set asters And bitter-sweet. Bare tree branches dressed In new-born green Pattern naked sky. Red wings sing. Wind blowing, blowing,-- Pages of my morning turn again And suddenly It's spring!
